Mobile App Overview
The RAMSdoc mobile app brings RAMS documents to the site. Use it to deliver briefings, capture sign-offs, complete permits, run point-of-work risk assessments, report incidents, and access documents offline.
Installing the app
Section titled “Installing the app”- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
- Search for RAMSdoc.
- Tap Get to install.
- Open the app and log in with your RAMSdoc email and password.
Android
Section titled “Android”- Open Google Play on your Android device.
- Search for RAMSdoc.
- Tap Install.
- Open the app and log in with your RAMSdoc email and password.

What you can do on mobile
Section titled “What you can do on mobile”| Feature | Description |

The mobile dashboard
Section titled “The mobile dashboard”When you open the app, the dashboard shows:
- Today’s briefings — scheduled briefings for your site
- Active permits — permits currently open
- Documents — approved RAMS for your current project/site
- Quick actions — buttons for common tasks (new briefing, new POWRA, report incident)

Selecting your project and site
Section titled “Selecting your project and site”Most mobile features are site-specific. When you first open the app:
- Select your project from the list (or search by name).
- Select the site you are working at.
- The app loads all documents, briefings, and permits for that site.
If your device has GPS enabled, the app can suggest the nearest site based on your location.
Incident reporting
Section titled “Incident reporting”Report near-misses, hazards, or incidents directly from the app:
- Tap Report Incident from the dashboard or quick actions.
- Select the type: near-miss, hazard observation, minor incident, or major incident.
- Describe what happened.
- Take a photo if relevant (automatically GPS-tagged and timestamped).
- Select the relevant RAMS document if the incident relates to specific work.
- Submit the report.
Reports are sent immediately to the project manager and health and safety team. They are linked to the relevant RAMS document for audit purposes.
QR code scanning
Section titled “QR code scanning”The app includes a QR code scanner for use with QR code site boards:
- Tap the QR scanner icon in the app toolbar.
- Point your camera at the QR code.
- The app opens the relevant content:
- Site Safety Info — emergency procedures and assembly point
- Active RAMS — read-only view of the current approved RAMS
- Briefing Sign-Off — sign-off form for acknowledging a briefing
- Report a Concern — quick hazard/incident report form
- Visitor Induction — short safety briefing for visitors
Workers can also scan QR codes using their phone’s default camera — the codes open in a mobile browser without requiring the app.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”The app sends push notifications for:
- New briefings scheduled for your site
- Documents requiring your sign-off
- Permit status changes (opened, extended, closed)
- Incident reports on your project
- Document approval or amendment requests
- Certification expiry reminders
Configure notification preferences in the app’s Settings or in your user profile on the web.
